What Will You Do:
Key Responsibilities:
Design, build, and ship the systems and infrastructure that power our applications.
Provide reliable, robust, and fast CI/CD pipelines
Propose new technologies or approaches that can improve our infrastructure
Create tooling to improve the developer experience
Develop and test disaster recovery scenarios
Continuously monitor and improve our infrastructure for performance, stability, scalability, and security
Build automation systems following code pattern best practices
Working closely with developers to improve developer workflows
Build and improve automation for building new environments
Implement security best practices, from OS-level patches to internal processes.
Participate in the on-call engineering rotation.
What Do We want:
Required Skills:
Strong experience in a software engineering or DevOps role
Demonstrated background in supporting high-availability systems on AWS
Experience building or supporting services in a service-oriented architecture.
Experience with infrastructure as code (e.g. CloudFormation, Terraform, helm, etc).
Experience creating and managing a CI/CD pipeline (Jenkins, Github Actions)
Hands-on experience at least in one scripting language Java, Python or Golang.
Experience with Kubernetes and container technologies.
Fluent in understanding and applying common security principles
Experience with test automation
Expert-level proficiency with version control (Git)
Desired Criteria:
Experience building large-scale data processing systems and data warehousing solutions
Familiarity with one or more big-data technologies such as Hbase, Hadoop, Hive, Kafka, etc.
Working knowledge of at least 1 public cloud hosting provider (AWS (preferred), Google Cloud, Azure or similar)
Experience – 5-10 yrs
