The Role
Fidelity’s Charitable Technology group is adding a Senior DevOps Engineer to our team. The DevOps Engineer implements and manages the tools, processes and cloud environments to automate our build, testing, deployment, and production infrastructure. You’ll build and manage the infrastructure to ensure the availability and performance of the servers used by Fidelity Charitable’s internal and external customers. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you’ll oversee configuration, build, deployment and release management strategies. You’ll also regularly engage the Development, Quality Assurance, Customer Support, and Operations teams and help implement the tools and environment that ensures the delivery team’s success.
Design, promote, and support Continuous Delivery
Develop and maintain Continuous Integration processes, tools and execution
Identify processes that can be improved and automated
Design, promote, and support microservices
Increase deployment reliability and frequency while reducing frictions
Implement deployment processes that entails packaging releases, pushing releases and executing installs
Support customer infrastructure for cloud deployments
Conduct DevOps tool research, evaluation, proof of concept, installation, configuration and training
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
5+ years of increasing responsibility in information technology services and support
3+ years of experience within a financial services organization
5+ years of demonstrated experience managing high-severity application or process from outages to a successful resolution
Outstanding problem solving and debugging skills; ability to break down a complex problem to identify root cause quickly
Demonstrated ability with scripting languages like PowerShell, Bash, Perl, Python
Significant administrative experience with cloud server environments like Amazon Web Services, ideally with the related certification
Administrative experience with cloud server environments like AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, and OpenStack
Expertise with Kubernetes container environments
Experience with Jenkins, Java/Groovy, code quality analysis, etc.
Experienced in Agile software development practices and tools, like Atlassian Jira
Experience with provisioning configuration management, and containerization solutions like Ansible, Terraform, Docker, or similar technologies
Demonstrated experience with common data stores, both relational and NoSQL, primarily Oracle and MongoDB
Experience with monitoring and troubleshooting a highly available platform
Bachelor's degree and 5 years demonstrated work experience or an equivalent combination of related training and experience

Fidelity Charitable Technology group develops the next-generation technology that directly impacts how customers accomplish their philanthropic goals. As a Software Engineer within the technology business unit, you will help take Fidelity Charitable applications to the next level of evolution through hands-on software development, technical mentoring, and cross-team collaboration with a diverse, co-located engineering team, while also visualizing customer issues as drivers for internal change.
Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
