SENIOR DEVOPS ENGINEER RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan, deploy, and maintain critical business applications.
- Ability to provide guidance and expertise on system options, risk, impact and costs vs. benefits.
- Build, install and configure solutions. Implement reusable components, translate technical requirements, assist with all stages of test data, develop interface stubs and simulators and perform script maintenance and updates.
- Troubleshoot problems, involving the appropriate resources and driving resolution of issues with a focus on minimising impact to customers.
- Implement integrations requested by customers.
- Deploy updates and fixes.
- Provide Level 2 technical support.
- Build tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve customer experience.
- Develop software to integrate with internal back-end systems.
- Perform root cause analysis for production errors.
- Investigate and resolve technical issues.
- Develop scripts to automate visualisation.
- Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance.
SENIOR DEVOPS ENGINEER REQUIREMENTS
- Excellent experience in Cloud Technologies - AWS
- Strong hands-on experience at least in one scripting language (PowerShell, Python).
- Good knowledge of Terraform, Ansible, and Helm.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Working knowledge of databases.
- An understanding and some experience of network administration, DNS, firewall maintenance and security.
- Significant systems administration experience in a Unix/ Linux environment
- Good understanding of software quality assurance.
- An understanding of continuous integration/delivery principles and working knowledge of automated software delivery workflows.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including report writing and technical documentation.
- Problem-solving attitude.
