What You'll Do

Reporting to the Development Director, the Sr. Development Manager will be responsible for leading various strategic planning and operations efforts across Epic. As Epic’s processes continue to mature, this role will support the implementation of pipelines, work streams, processes, and frameworks to maximize development and operational efficiency across the company to increase the value delivered.

In this role, you will

  • Partner with Development leadership across all of Epic orgs as well as HR & Finance teams to ensure we have good visibility into our roadmap plans, org operations, and cost management in a way that is repeatable and scalable
  • Partner with Production leadership to review existing production processes and practices to promote efficiencies, designing new work streams or standards where appropriate
  • Collaborate with Senior leadership and the Production team to design and implement cross-company collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and decision-making processes at Epic
  • In partnership with the Finance team, continue improving cost planning and management processes
  • Partner with Procurement and Vendor Management teams to optimize external development processes across Epic
  • Partner with HR & Recruiting to ensure efficient and effective org operations including, but not limited to, internal mobility, skills matching, and growth planning management across Epic
  • Help define, track, and report on development and operations metrics and KPIs and provide mentorship to more junior members of the team

What we're looking for

  • Leadership experience in development within the video games or software development industry with a strong focus on scalable processes and frameworks
  • Strong understanding of core business processes such as budgeting, resource planning, outsourced development etc.
  • Strong technical background
  • Experience managing large multi-disciplinary teams
  • Experience partnering directly with Executive-level management
  • Experience in large organizations requiring collaboration and coordination across diverse stakeholder groups to align the company to successfully execute on a vision
  • Exceptional communication skills and experience working successfully in a global environment with a diverse group of colleagues
