Senior Developer wanted by American Express Global Business Travel in New York, NY. Performing hands-on software development and testing, this includes: transforming user stories into technical stories; transforming technical stories into computer application and database code; performing unit testing on code by creating test data, running tests, and comparing to expected results; performing System testing on multiple components; and supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Conducting the occasional review of the work of peers; Functioning as a core member of an agile team driving user story analysis, elaboration, design, development, testing and automation of software applications; Performing ongoing refactoring of code and driving continuous improvement in code structure and quality, which includes utilizing visualization and other techniques to fast track concepts; Owning a list of technical requirements that need to be included in the product backlog based on industry trends, new technologies, known defects and issues; Liaising with technical Project Manager and Lead Developer to help manage prioritization of items in product backlog for ongoing sprints; Collaborating with geographically dispersed users and development teams; and Communicating with business users, analysts, lead developers and project management.
Must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field plus five (5) years of experience in any occupation which includes the required experience/skills. Five (5) years of experience with Microsoft technology stack: C#, .NET framework, ASP.NET, and .NET CORE; five (5) years of experience with Global Distribution Systems APIs (at least one or a combination of: Sabre, Travelport or Amadeus); five (5) years of experience with Database technology: Microsoft SQL Server and SSIS; five (5) years of experience with Web technology: JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5, CSS3, SOAP/RESTful APIs and XSLT; one (1) year of experience with Cloud technology: Amazon Web Services. May work remotely from home anywhere in the United States. Salary range: $169,229-$170,000/yr. #LI-DNI
