Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with solution architects to evaluate, implement, and qualify new technologies especially in the Snowflake ecosystem.
- Design and develop highly scalable data models.
- Sound understanding of Data Warehousing principles and ETL concepts such as incremental loads.
- Familiar with anyone programming language ex: Python, JavaScript etc.
- Write complex SQL queries to extract data from Snowflake and perform data analysis and reporting tasks. This may include aggregations, joins, subqueries, and advanced SQL functions.
- Monitor Snowflake's performance, resource utilization, and data loads to identify and resolve issues. Analyze query execution plans, optimize resource allocation, and work closely with the infrastructure team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as data engineers, data analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements, provide technical expertise, and deliver high-quality data solutions.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in STEM or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in Information Technology with experience in Data and Analytics domain.
- Knowledge and experience in Snowflake database is a must.
- Strong SQL skills with exposure to analytics and windowing functions, performance tuning and query optimization
- Working experience in Data warehousing and Data Integration areas.
- Strong skills in Data modelling and creating highly scalable data marts.
- Experience building data pipelines and working on Data migration projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Snowpro or advanced Snowflake certification.
- Knowledge of RBAC, secure views and other data segregation techniques.
- Excellent documentation and interpersonal relationship skills.
- Knowledge of orchestration tools like Airflow, control-M etc.
- Knowledge in CI/CD pipeline, Gitlab, Jenkins etc.
- Knowledge in AWS Glue, IICS, HVR etc.
- Experience with Snowflake concepts such as travel, secure views, streams, tasks
- Knowledge and experience in Realtime technologies is a plus.
