POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Designer leads high-quality visual design across EO’s digital, print, web, campaign, and branded member experiences. This role serves as a senior creative partner to internal stakeholders, translating strategy into clear, elevated, on-brand creative that strengthens EO’s global presence. The Senior Designer helps raise creative quality, mentor designers and freelancers, and build the systems that allow EO’s brand to scale across regions, chapters, and audiences.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Creative Design and Execution

·           Design compelling creative for digital campaigns, email, social media, web pages, presentations, event promotion, toolkits, paid media, and internal brand materials.

·           Create print-ready assets including signage, collateral, reports, event materials, flyers, banners, and branded templates.

·           Design web pages and digital experiences that are visually strong, user-friendly, mobile-responsive, and aligned with brand and conversion goals.

·           Translate briefs into thoughtful concepts and polished executions that balance creativity, speed, accessibility, and business needs.

Brand Systems and Standards

·           Maintain and evolve EO brand standards across channels, ensuring consistency in typography, layout, imagery, accessibility, and overall design quality.

·           Develop scalable campaign systems and creative toolkits that regions, chapters, and teams can adapt with confidence.

·           Build and maintain design libraries, templates, and repeatable systems that improve speed, consistency, and reuse.

Collaboration and Creative Direction

·           Partner with marketers, writers, product marketers, web developers, project managers, and freelancers to bring campaigns and experiences to life.

·           Review creative work from other designers and freelancers, providing clear direction and feedback to ensure quality and brand alignment.

·           Recommend creative improvements that strengthen performance, usability, and member or prospect engagement.

Production and Support

·           Prepare final production files for digital and print use with strong attention to detail and accuracy.

·           Support photography selection, light image editing, presentation design, and event branding as needed.

 

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

·           5–7 years of relevant design experience across digital, print, brand, and campaign work.

·           Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, and strong proficiency in Figma.

·           Strong portfolio demonstrating brand, campaign, digital, and editorial design craft.

·           Experience designing responsive web pages, landing pages, and digital experiences.

·           Proven ability to build and maintain brand systems, templates, and design libraries.

·           Excellent typography, layout, visual hierarchy, and visual storytelling skills.

·           Strong communication skills and experience presenting creative work to stakeholders.

·           Creatively strong, with a thoughtful point of view and a high visual bar across digital and print.

·           Brand-minded, with the discipline to protect consistency while evolving systems at scale.

·           Collaborative and constructive when directing peers, freelancers, and stakeholders.

·           Detail-oriented, with pride in polished, production-ready work.

·           Adaptable, balancing strategic concepting with fast-turn execution.

·           Experience designing for global, membership-based, or nonprofit organizations.

·           Working knowledge of motion design, video, or basic HTML/CSS.

·           Experience collaborating with web developers in platforms such as Umbraco or similar content management systems.

·           Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive design practices.

·           Experience mentoring or directing junior designers and freelancers.

WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / ROLE CONDITIONS

  • This role is primarily sedentary/light work and requires regular use of a computer, telephone, and video-conference platforms.
  • The role requires the ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally and to participate in virtual and in-person meetings.
  • The role requires travel up to 5%
  • The role requires occasional early morning/evening meetings across time zones
  • The role requires lifting/moving up to 5 kgs, as applicable.
