About the role
MYOB Acumatica is the top ERP for mid-market businesses in Australia and New Zealand. As Senior Designer for our Embedded Finance squad, you will develop how financial features are built into the Acumatica experience. This includes payments, money movement, and related workflows.
You'll develop a deep understanding of how partners and customers transfer and handle money today. Identify where coordinated features can substitute fragmented and manual methods. Then compose experiences that feel like a natural extension of how customers already operate.
Key responsibilities- Own the build agenda within the Embedded Finance squad, driving focus toward the financial moments that matter most to partners and customers.
- Develop and sustain an ongoing, data-driven understanding of how partners and customers transfer and handle money — revealing obstacles, risks, and unaddressed needs that guide squad priorities.
- Map and build end-to-end financial experiences across MYOB Acumatica and the third-party capabilities it connects to, ensuring coherence and real customer value.
- Build onboarding, activation, and value moments that turn coordinated financial capabilities into adopted ones, contributing directly to revenue and growth goals.
- Bring external financial services providers into the build process from inception, working alongside the Mid-Market Partnership Manager to compose coordinated experiences as joint build problems.
- Incorporate AI within the creative workflow — synthesizing research, generating concepts, and developing working prototypes — so the squad can pursue more research and investigate more options.
- Contribute to the broader build team through peer review, shared standards, and a collective understanding of the partner and customer landscape.
- Demonstrated experience in product, service, or experience building, with a strong research component.
- Proven ability to plan and run qualitative research and produce end-to-end journey maps, service blueprints, and system maps at the scale of a channel-led or multi-sided business.
- Experience crafting financial workflows, payments, or regulated transactional domains — with an understanding of how trust, control, and compliance influence customer expectations.
- Experience crafting coordinated experiences that involve multiple providers or systems in a B2B setting. You should have a clear perspective on making third-party features feel native to the main product.
- Comfortable working toward commercial outcomes, with experience crafting for adoption, activation, and revenue-relevant moments alongside Product, PMM, and Pricing.
- A clear, current perspective on how AI is transforming the craft of building — and on how it can reshape the financial workflows mid-market businesses use — supported by hands-on experience developing AI-powered products or features.
- Strong facilitation and collaborator alignment skills, including across squad boundaries and with external partners.
