We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our engineering team. In this key role, you will take ownership of electrical design deliverables for paper industry projects – from initial engineering specifications to site commissioning. You will work in a global, cross‑functional environment, ensuring design quality, schedule adherence, and customer satisfaction. General Duties:
1. Understand and follow company’s rules, regulations, policies, instructions and procedures, particularly pay high attention to 'Code of Conduct', 'Minimum Safety Standard' as well as 'Information Protection Policy'.
2.Have awareness of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 systems.
3.Be clear about the overall requirements of assigned tasks (e.g. schedule, quality, and delivery) and execute work efficiently with strong engagement and teamwork to ensure successful task completion.
4.Support quality improvement activities defined in quality system.
5.Implement 5S management in own area and support its implementation in whole work area.
6.Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor that are not specifically listed in this job description.
Principal Duties:
1.Understand and apply initial engineering information provided by the lead engineer, including contract requirements, technical specifications, project standards, and delivery limits; ensure correct implementation in own work and raise clarification or feedback when needed, and monitor own task progress in alignment with engineering schedule.
2. Perform engineering work in accordance with defined task responsibilities.
3.Follow the defined Engineering Quality Assurance (QA) plan and ensure QA activities are properly implemented in own engineering work; report any quality deviations or risks in a timely manner.
4.Ensure engineering deliverables within own discipline meet defined technical requirements and agreed delivery schedule for customer submission.
5.Participate as a key engineering role in installation supervision, FAT, site service, and commissioning activities; identify issues, perform basic analysis, propose solutions, and follow up until closure.
6. Continuously improve design quality based on quality targets and customer feedback defined in the quality system.
7.Support team collaboration and knowledge sharing by guiding junior engineers and continuously improving own technical competence.
Expectations for you:
1.Bachelor’s degree or above.
2.More than 5 years of experience in paper industry engineering or related fields (experience within Valmet is preferred).
3.Good knowledge of Valmet products within the area of responsibility.
4.Good command of English for daily work communication in an international environment.
5.Good communication skills and teamwork spirit.
6.Good proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and relevant engineering systems and tools used in Valmet.
7.Ability to identify, analyze, and solve engineering problems independently.
