We are seeking a Senior Delphi Developer to join our energetic and talented team. In this key role, you will leverage your technical strengths to design, implement, and enhance business-critical systems, working closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders in a fast-paced, Agile environment. You’ll contribute to platform stabilisation and future product enhancements. There will be the opportunities to experiment with new technologies and contribute to product and technical roadmaps.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and optimize enterprise applications using Delphi and SQL Server, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
- Collaborate within Agile teams to plan, review and execute tasks using Jira for backlog management and sprint tracking.
- Integrate and support SWIFT messaging for financial industry workflows.
- Manage and version source code using GIT, ensuring reliable deployment pipelines.
- Participate actively in product modernization initiatives—contribute ideas, experiment with emerging technologies, and drive continuous improvement.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, sharing expertise and fostering innovation.
- Analyse business requirements, offer technical solutions, and ensure quality through best practices and robust documentation.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years’ hands-on experience in Delphi development, with demonstrated success delivering software solutions.
- 2+ years Delphi experience will be considered if a candidate can demonstrate previous experience with another object-oriented language.
- Proficiency with SQL Server (design, querying, performance tuning, and integration).
- Proven experience in Agile software development, with strong familiarity with Jira
- Proficiency using GIT for source control and collaborative development.
- Self-driven, self-motivated personality with a willingness to learn, experiment, and drive innovation.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience of test-driven development
- Experience of writing user stories and acceptance criteria
Preferred Skills
- Experience with other modern programming languages or frameworks.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms, service-oriented architectures, or microservices.
- Prior participation in technology modernization or migration projects
- Familiarity with a build server and deployment solution, e.g. TeamCIty.
Experience with SWIFT messaging protocols and their integration in financial systems.
