Microsoft SQL Server Database Administrator

We are seeking an experienced Microsoft SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for optimizing database performance, maintaining existing systems, and providing critical support to our development team.

Responsibilities:

- Manage and optimize SQL Server databases to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security
- Implement and maintain database servers and processes, with a focus on performance tuning and optimization (PTO)
- Monitor system health and performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues
- Develop and implement strategies for database performance improvement, including query optimization and index tuning
- Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement
- Perform regular maintenance tasks, including backups, restores, and recovery operations
- Implement and maintain high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions
- Provide 24/7 on-call support for critical production systems
- Collaborate with the development team to troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues
- Document changes, processes, and best practices for database management

Qualifications:

- 5+ years of experience as a Microsoft SQL Server DBA
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server performance tuning and optimization techniques
- Experience with backups, restores, and recovery models
- Familiarity with high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) options for SQL Server
- Proficiency in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment

- Experience with Git preferred

- Experience with DbaTools and Powershell preferred
