Job DescriptionAre you a self-starter with a passion for databases and a developer’s mindset? We’re building a brand-new team in Malmö, and we’re looking for a strong, experienced database professional to take the lead as our first team member.
In this role, you’ll work closely with a skilled team based in India—not to take over, but to take control and drive collaboration. You’ll help shape the technical direction, establish best practices, and lay the foundation for a team that will grow to 4–5 people.
- Lead database development and administration efforts, with a strong focus on Oracle (preferred), PSQL, and C#
- Collaborate closely with our India-based team to align on architecture, performance, and delivery
- Travel to India as part of your onboarding and ongoing collaboration
- Help build a robust, cloud-ready infrastructure (Azure experience is a plus)
- Contribute to a complex, long-term project with a steep learning curve—your experience and personality will be key to success
- Minimum 5 years of experience in database development or administration
- Strong expertise in Oracle and/or PSQL, with solid C# skills
- A developer who truly understands databases—or a database admin with a developer’s mindset
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
- A confident, proactive personality who thrives in complex environments
- Willingness to travel internationally (India)
