📋 Context
As a Senior Data Scientist in Debt Collection, reporting to the Lead Data Scientist, you will optimize recovery journeys using data-driven strategies, leverage AI to enhance client communications, design impact measurement frameworks, collaborate with business teams, and proactively drive innovation.
Your responsibilities :
Overall, your main mission will be to optimize the debt collection process, considering both financial performance and customer protection. To achieve this, you’ll have to :
- Conduct advanced customer segmentation and leverage Machine Learning models to define and optimize contact strategies, improving the effectiveness of collection actions.
- Explore and leverage the potential of generative models (LLMs) to innovate in the creation of personalized communication content adapted to different debt collection situations.
- Measure and analyze the impact of deployed strategies and models on key performance indicators (KPIs) of debt collection and customer satisfaction.
- Propose and implement continuous improvements to the debt collection process based on analysis results and new opportunities offered by data technologies.
At Younited, Data Scientists also act as project managers on their topics. Thus, you will collaborate with several teams :
- Debt collection business teams to understand their needs, translate problems into data-driven solutions, and ensure the adoption of developed tools and models with the help of product managers.
- Data engineers and machine learning engineers to ensure effective production deployment of models.
- Model risk management team to review & validate your models.
🫵 About your profile :
We are looking for an experienced and motivated data science expert with the following qualifications:
- Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience 3+ years in Data Science, with proven experience deploying and managing production-grade ML systems.
- Past experience on debt collection optimization topics.
Your skills :
- Programming Languages: Expertise in Python.
- Statistical Analysis: Strong understanding of statistical methods and hypothesis testing.
- Machine Learning: Knowledge of various algorithms and their applications.
- Data Wrangling & Preprocessing: Expertise in cleaning, transforming, and preparing data for analysis.
- SQL: Ability to write and execute complex SQL queries.
- Collaborative mindset, with the ability to align cross-departmental goals.
- Clear communication (verbal & written).
- Good time management.
- Business acumen and result-oriented approach.
