JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Contribute to new product development by proposing data-driven solutions for complex customer challenges, using advanced analytical techniques and become subject matter experts. Collaborate with other data scientists and engineers to design cutting-edge AI solutions utilizing leading AI and machine learning model development, analyzing extensive datasets, and guiding junior team members. Work closely with other data scientists and engineers to design, develop, and deploy AI solutions. Lead the development of advanced AI and machine learning models to solve complex business problems. Research, build, and deploy models based on both shallow and deep machine learning. Train robust NLP-based models a very large corpus of data. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure AI solutions are aligned with business goals and customer needs. Mentor junior data scientists and provide guidance on AI and machine learning best practices. Design APIs for disseminating data science outputs to various business units. Oversee the scaling of production systems to meet growing demands. Perform other duties as needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field required.
- 3 years of experience in job offered or related occupations required.
- Also required is: 3 years of experience: using Natural Language Processing (NLP), including Large Language Models (LLMs) to aid computers in retrieving, reading, summarizing, and understanding large amounts of legal text so legal professionals can easily find the information they need; utilizing Machine Learning and Deep Learning to build complex legal reasoning and question answering systems; using Data science and statistical modeling on large, complex datasets to build legal drafting agents that can prepare legal drafts for lawyers; using Design and development of production-grade APIs for AI/ML models to develop predictive models that identify patterns in legal data to predict related cases, recommending relevant authorities, or detecting document types; and using Scalable data/ML systems including distributed computing, cloud platforms, and MLOps.
- Employee reports to RELX, Inc. d/b/a LexisNexis USA office in Raleigh, NC, but may telecommute from any location within the U.S.
- Experience can be concurrent.
SALARY RANGE FOR REQ# R119639:
- $179,025.00 to $192,300.00/year + standard company benefits
