The Data Reporting Compliance team is looking for a Data Reporting Analyst to support our financial data call reporting. The person who applies for this position should have excellent analytical skills; have a high level of attention to detail; have strong planning and organizing skills and the ability to meet deadlines. This person should be a strong self-starter, balanced with a desire to achieve team goals.
This position will work on a hybrid schedule and will be located in our Cincinnati office.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
Prepares basic financial and business-related analysis and reporting. Defines business and legal reporting requirements through research, interpretation of regulations, and business unit requests to meet customer needs.
Effectively utilizes reporting procedures that designate the use of checklists, submission logs, data transmissions and data receipt confirmations.
Collects and analyzes data for validity and accuracy in preparation of assigned reports.
Develops and maintains department databases and assesses quality of data used in reports.
Develop knowledge of data sources content and structure to assess the quality of data.
Identify and make recommendations for resolution of identified issues in data and reporting quality.
Utilizes department / company software to prepare moderately complex data queries.
Develops understanding of industry products/coverages and applies that knowledge to support business activity.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Data Science, or related discipline or equivalent experience.
Experience: Generally, 2 or more years of related experience in data reporting. Experience in the insurance industry is preferred but not required.
Qualifications: Strong analytical skills. Knowledge of reporting and data analysis tools such as Excel & SQL. Knowledge of Snowflake is a plus.
