Responsible for facilitating the deployment of new data sources and/or changes to existing data sources ensuring and monitoring the final quality of our internal data stores and flows. Provide quality assurance oversight on business processes where data is collected, stored, transformed, or used. enable enterprise data strategies for implementation, integration and usage . Communicate with business partners, implement, maintain, and ensure adherence to enterprise data governance framework for data policies, standards, and practices to achieve the required level of consistency, quality, and protection to meet overall business needs. Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders and effectively resolve issues arising from operations.
- Responsible for defining data quality standards and rules to ensure data is compliant with defined quality requirements within assigned domains
- Recommend, implement and monitor preventative and corrective actions to ensure quality assurance standards are achieved
- Analyze data for compliance to design specification (source-to-target) and expected/anticipated behaviors, identifying quality issues and recommending solutions
- Establish, monitor, and report on Service Level Agreements of external data assets with the outsourcing vendor as it relates to quality assurance and production performance
- Communicate data quality problems and their potential impacts and take the lead in resolving them via data integration and/or business process improvement.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and document data issues from internal and external stakeholders
- Assist other departments in the design of quality edit checks, test plans to ensure data quality objectives are met, participate in cross-functional teams and development/improvement task forces
- Manage documentation related to data quality (data standards, definitions, checklists, guidelines, manuals, templates, etc.)
- Ensure consistency with data governance, data stewardship and data ownership implementation across business areas and functions
- Promote participation and buy-in for data governance activities throughout the organization including recruiting, cultivating and developing data stewards throughout the organization
- Elicit and document technical requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, and/or other means
- Analyze application and business domain data requirements and business rules, understand the data flow from source to screen, develop and present recommendations derived from analysis
- Partner with the various software development and technical services groups on the technical design and development process ensuring business requirements are understood and delivered
- Ensure data quality, including a comprehensive strategy that results in a proactive approach to the identification and resolution of quality issues before impacting data consumers
Education & Experience:
Minimum - 4 year Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Management, Accounting, Finance or Related
Preferred - Graduate Degree Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Management, Accounting, Finance or Related
Minimum - 7 Years Technical support, Data Governance, SQL, Data Warehousing Management or related
Compensation & Benefits:
Typical hiring range: $63,300 to $98,500 Annually. Actual compensation will be determined using factors such as experience, skills & knowledge.
