Job Description
The Senior Data Operations Analyst acts as a point of contact between Operations and internal client services/clients to manage end-to-end (E2E) operational queries and provide client support. The role also serves as a secondary point of contact in the absence of the Associate Manager, handling E2E operational queries and deliverables.
The analyst is responsible for delivering databases and outputs based on client specifications, ensuring timely delivery with high-quality standards, and actively engaging with stakeholders. The role requires foundational experience in logical thinking and analytical research domains. Additionally, the role requires independent ownership of regular BAU (Business-as-Usual) activities, ensuring seamless execution without operational dependencies.
Responsibilities
- SQL Data Management: Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries to retrieve datasets and tables from SQL databases.
- Data Analytics: Perform in-depth analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and actionable insights.
- Data Quality Assurance: Monitor, validate, and improve data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across systems.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to automate workflows and enhance efficiency in data operations.
- Demonstrate strong analytical thinking by solving complex problems with innovative, out-of-the-box solutions.
- Execute defined reports, schedules, and processes by adhering to procedures, delivery schedules, and SLAs.
- Independently manage and deliver regular BAU activities end-to-end, ensuring minimal or no dependency on others.
- Maintain SOP documents and ensure that checklists and trackers are updated regularly.
- Provide constructive input to Process Owners, Team Leads, and the Operations Manager to improve operational effectiveness.
- Understand the relationship between assigned processes and upstream/downstream dependencies to ensure clean data delivery and minimize rework across Operations teams.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3+ years of overall experience.
- SQL Expertise: At least 2 years of hands-on experience in SQL, including query optimization and handling large datasets.
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.
- Analytics Experience: Strong background in data analytics, statistical modeling, or banking/financial services.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional stakeholder management abilities.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work collaboratively and meet deadlines.
- High level of accuracy, proactiveness, and attention to detail.
- Project management aptitude (critical path management, task sequencing, problem-solving, etc.).
- Proficiency in business English (both spoken and written).
