Make your impact within a rapidly growing Fintech Company

We are seeking an experienced Data Modeler to join our CXO Insights & Reporting team, which supports various teams within the customer experience (CX) and operations (O) functions at BILL. This position will play a pivotal role in producing data models required to support BILL’s customers and scale BILL’s internal operations.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and translate business needs into long-term solution data models
  • Troubleshoot and optimize data systems and SQL scripts
  • Maintain data models and define data modeling and design standards for the CXO Insights & Reporting team
  • Develop best practices around data coding and standard naming conventions, making sure data models are consistent
  • Evaluate databases and data models for inconsistencies and variances, ensuring data is represented correctly

We’d love to chat if you have:

  • 5+ years in a SQL-based Analyst, Business Intelligence, or Data Engineering role
  • BS/BA in a technical related field, such as Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or equivalent work experience required
  • Experience working with data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery)
  • Familiarity with data cataloging and quality tools (dbt, Great Expectations, Amundsen)
  • Familiarity with star schema/snowflake/OBT data modeling practices
  • Familiarity with ETL/ELT concepts
  • Experience working directly with Customer Experience teams
  • Experience optimizing SQL queries
  • Familiarity with scalable/modular solutions that can be leveraged by the full team (dbt experience highly preferred)
  • Python or software development experience a plus
  • Fintech or startup experience a plus

Our ranges for each role and job level are based on a variety of factors including candidate experience, expertise, and geographic location and may vary from the amounts listed below. The role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, flexible spending & health savings account, paid holidays, paid time off, and other company benefits. The estimated salary  ranges noted below roles in the specific  geographic zones

Zone 1- San Francisco Bay Area CA (includes HQ), New York City, Seattle

$110,200$132,100 USD

Zone 2- CA (Non San Francisco Bay Area), Austin TX, Massachusetts

$99,200$118,900 USD

Zone 3 -Utah (includes Utah office), Houston TX (office), Florida, North Carolina

$93,700$112,300 USD
