Role Summary/Purpose:
Data Analyst with clinical data expertise to help us work with healthcare data, focusing on HL7 v2 and v3 to FHIR mapping. Candidate will query and analyze data in Snowflake and MongoDB, interpret it in a clinical context, and verify and guide developers on accurate data mapping. You will also review changes and pull requests, ensuring proper data alignment and quality. Candidates should understand ORU, ADT, CCD, RSP documents.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Understand and analyze clinical data, particularly HL7 v2, HL7 v3, and FHIR
- Use Snowflake and MongoDB to query and extract data for analysis
- Map HL7 data fields to FHIR fields with a solid focus on clinical accuracy
- Use AI tools to improve data analysis, mapping, and quality checks
- Check developers' work to confirm proper data mapping and alignment
- Provide guidance to developers on best practices for HL7-to-FHIR data mapping
- Review and approve pull requests related to data mapping and database changes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high data quality and clinical relevance
- Independent communication with business partners
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, software engineering or related discipline
- 7+ years of experience in IT
- Hands-on experience with clinical data, including HL7 v2, HL7 v3, and FHIR standards
- Understanding of ORU, ADT, CCD, RSP documents
- Background in databases such as Snowflake and MongoDB
- Demonstrated ability to align clinical data with healthcare standards and make it understandable for teams
- Proven solid analytical skills and attention to detail
- Proven good communication skills to explain clinical and data concepts clearly
- Proven capacity to work both independently and with a diverse team
Preferred Qualification:
- Knowledge on Python and prompt engineering
