The Role
The Workplace Investment (WI) Test Data Management CoE is looking for a Senior Data Enablement Engineer to lead the evolution of our internal tools and test data ecosystem. This role will focus on enabling QE teams to efficiently discover, understand and access data across non-prod environments. As a technical leader, you will provide mentorship to data engineers and partners with stakeholders to enhance the development and delivery of test data solutions. This position centers on data navigation, test data ecosystem, data discoverability, SQL-driven data scenarios, Python -driven analysis, and tech data support of QE teams.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field
5 years of experience with data analysis, and test data ecosystems
Strong hands-on skills in SQL and Python
Knowledge of data modeling, data relations, data flows, data governance, and metadata management
Familiarity with GitHub, SQL Workbench, Visual Studio and working in Agile development teams
Ability to mentor and guide junior data engineers
Experience working with QE teams as a plus
Strong collaboration, problem-solving, and communication skills

You lead test data communication between TDM team and QE teams
You ensure high data quality and consistency by maintaining and validating test data scenarios
You collaborate with partner’s teams to understand complex data relations, data needs , increase data visibility, and provide test-ready data
You manage test data creation and modification using existing tools and scripts
You mentor junior data engineers and promote best practices in test data engineering
You partner with product owners and stakeholders to enhance the roadmap of test data tools and workflows
You proactively identify process gaps and lead initiatives to improve automation and efficiency across test data platforms, to ensure data and environment stability
The Team
The WI QE Center of Excellence (CoE) drives engineering excellence and platform stability across WI squads. As part of the Test Data Management team, the Senior Data Engineer plays a pivotal role in delivering clean, scalable, and reliable test data across BU. You’ll work closely with engineering leads, QE teams, and TDS contributors to enable faster, safer, and smarter testing through data.
Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
