Seeking a skilled Senior Data Engineer to support C-Suite and Executive Leadership at a Top Ten US Insurer.

As a vital member of the team, your main responsibility will be to generate and practical recommendations for the C-Suite and Executive Leadership at a Top Ten US Insurance Carrier. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge in data engineering, data analysis and data visualization tools, as well as previous experience in analytics firms and a solid educational foundation.

As key member of this team, the Senior Data Engineer's key responsibilities include:
- Design, build and maintain SQL ETL processes to support critical business needs.
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide real-time insights to the C-Suite.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable analytical solutions.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in data analysis, visualization, and predictive analytics.
- Act as a subject matter expert on data visualization tools and techniques, providing guidance and training to internal stakeholders as needed.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data quality, accuracy, and accessibility
The Data Engineer is expected to proficiently utilize core data engineering and visualization tools such as Excel Power BI. Possess knowledge and expertise in data architecture, defining the flow of data through storage systems and downstream applications. The candidate should be adept at data mining and engineering, converting raw data into actionable insights while adhering to business standards. Should also excel in data visualization and reporting, effectively communicating observations and recommendations using various visual aids. Understanding and applying machine learning models for operational, analytical, and financial needs is essential. Additionally, proficiency in statistical and descriptive analysis, including identifying anomalies and communicating recommendations, is required.
The essential skills and experience of the ideal candidate include:
- - Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or Data related.
- - Minimum of 10 years of experience at data related field.
- - High proficiency in SQL and ETL tools (SSIS, Informatica etc.)
- - Experience in data modeling, and profiling.
- - Excel advanced.
- - English proficiency.
- - Demonstrated expertise in data visualization tools such as Power BI.
