Job Title – Senior Data Engineer - Support
The Purpose of This Role
Fidelity’s Workplace Investing Data Engineering is seeking a senior data Engineer to lead the stability, resilience, and operational excellence of critically important production reporting applications.
This role is focused on ensuring high availability, reliability, and observability of enterprise reporting platforms built on Power BI, OAS/OBIEE., Informatica, Oracle Exadata and evolving to AWS and Snowflake.
You will play a key role in modernizing reporting systems, strengthening operational controls, improving platform resilience, and supporting cloud migration initiatives, while maintaining flawless production performance for business-critical workloads.
The Expertise You Have
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or any other discipline
- 5-6 years of experience in DevOps, Data Engineering or Production Support
The Skills that are Key to this role
- Hands-on administration experience with Power BI, OAS/OBIEE
- Experience supporting enterprise reporting platforms in production
- Strong Linus/Unix experience
- Extensive experience with Oracle / PL-SQL
- Strong experience with Informatica ETL
- Experience working in Data warehouse environment
- Experience participating in production on-call rotations.
- Experience with AWS, Snowflake, Airflow
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks
- Programming experience in Python, Java or C
- Experience implementing observability solutions (monitoring, logging, alerting)

The Value You Deliver
- Ensure stability, resiliency, and performance of production reporting applications (Power BI, OAS/OBIEE, Tableau)
- Design and implement monitoring, alerting, and observability frameworks
- Lead incident triage, root cause analysis, and problem management
- Strengthening platform reliability through automation, capacity planning and failover strategies
- Perform data analysis, data modeling and data validation
- Partner with infrastructure and cloud teams to migrate applications to AWS and Snowflake
- Improve CI/CD, deployment automation and DevOps best practices
- Participate in rotational on-call support for production systems
- Collaborate with business and IT teams to ensure reporting solutions meet performance and SLA expectations.
