The Opportunity
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will develop, configure, and manage finance platforms, solutions, applications, processes, and systems within scope according to business requirements, increasing the value of the application to the finance business community. You will lead complex data analysis, explore and use data, languages, tools, and software to construct data for predictive modeling, test the model, and train data to deploy the modeling within complex business environments and a large complexity of IT systems and data.
Responsibilities

• Manages and develops technical existing and new computer science platforms to design, to analyze and implement complex and new data driven solutions, with an impact on the IT Structure and Architecture.
• Interprets and develops advance techniques in partly structured and unstructured big data across different partner organizations.
• Manage the application and platform development process, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing and deployment
• Identifies and investigates operational needs and problems, and opportunities, contributing to the implementation of improvements within area of responsibility. Advises stakeholders on improvements that increase value of applications.
• Maintain a high level of up-to-date expertise in the area of Finance platforms and systems, including state-of-art approaches, methodologies and emerging technologies.
• Ensure that application/platform meets the needs of our customers and stakeholders, and that it is scalable, reliable, and secure
• Monitor application/platform performance and identify opportunities for improvement
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in platform development and management
• Provide support to ensure all operational and project based commitments are delivered
• Provide support to ensure that the Finance systems are fully available to support Reporting, Planning and Analysis requirements
• Provide support to ensure adequate IT support is available during Finance Business Processes (month, quarterly, yearend close, MYC, MRP) and IT issues are resolved in a timely manner
• Collaborate and partner with various stakeholders (External service provider, DD&T, Business and other 3rd parties) to implement and deliver system improvements and opportunities
• Provide hand-on solutions and advise to support the business needs
• Ensure compliance with Takeda DD&T frameworks, policies and standards (like Project Governance, Architecture, QA, security, SDLC, SOX and service transition)
• Maintain current knowledge and related tools
• Acts as Technical expert on all assigned projects and systems.
• Designs/builds/deploys complex data models.
• Ensures execution and documentation to Takeda Quality Management System (QMS), suggest adjustments to the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and other standards, policies and procedures.
• Work independently on tough problems with other team members and independently solve, with some guidance, very difficult technology problems.
• Represent the team while working on project across BU and BNDC teams. Is internal and external expert to-go-to in how to drive advanced Computer Science and Engineering skills and techniques.
• Influences and maintains relationships with partner organizations in support of data analysis, modelling and deployment.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent with minimum 5+ years of relevant work experience
• Strong proficiency in SQL
• Knowledge in IBM Planning Analytics (TM1)
• Fluency in both written and spoken English
• Excellent oral and written communications skills, business acumen with analytical and problem solving skills.
• Practice efficient time management and coordinates tasks, working in an international environment.
• Communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
• Experience in Agile development methodologies
• Experience in managing third-party vendors and partners
• Experience in state of the art procedures, tools and methods to realize IS/IT solutions
• Extensive experience in designing and implementing IS/IT solutions
• Extensive knowledge of emerging technologies, their maturity and potential benefits for the organization
• Experience in development of communication and presentation material
• Deep insight in existing systems, technology and concepts in the area of Finance Systems Solutions (preferred)

Salary
As a motivated employee, you should be compensated appropriately. The minimum salary for this position is € 3850 per month (full time), but your final remuneration package may be higher depending on your qualifications and experience.
