The Mission

Act as a Senior Data Engineer by delivering high‑quality results within your squad and providing technical guidance. You will work with modern data engineering and software development technologies such as Python, Apache NiFi, Apache Kafka, GCP (BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Composer), Terraform and  Azure DevOps.

Your Day-to-Day

Build and configure scalable data pipelines using Apache NiFi and GCP services (e.g., BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub), ensuring they are reliable, performant, and aligned with platform standards.
Develop automated data flows and orchestration patterns, enabling internal users to manage and consume data pipelines independently through NiFi, GCP, and supporting platform tools.
Contribute to the strategy, architecture, and lifecycle management of the next-generation Data Management Platform.
Analyse risks, issues, and technical challenges to support effective decision‑making while creating and managing mitigation plans for your squad.
Safeguard the adoption of Agile–Scrum principles in the day‑to‑day work of the team.

What You’ll Bring to the Team

Excellent communication skills—both spoken and written—with the ability to align with stakeholders at multiple levels.
Strong capability to innovate, engineer, and productize data and software solutions.
Solid hands‑on experience with Python development.
Experience working with GCP data engineering tools (e.g., BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Composer) is a strong plus.
Good knowledge of big data technologies and architectures.
In-depth understanding of:

Database concepts and database design
Data warehouse & data lake concepts
Data streaming and data integration
ETL/ELT processes and tools (including Apache NiFi, IBM DataStage)
Good knowledge of Linux or other Unix-based operating systems.
Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), preferably Terraform.
Familiarity with Azure DevOps pipelines and CI/CD practices.
Up‑to‑date awareness of industry standards, data engineering trends, and modern data management practices.
Ability to translate both functional and non-functional requirements (e.g., security, availability, scalability) into technical implementations.
Understanding of Agile–Scrum methodology.
Excellent written and spoken English.
