We’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer to help evolve and scale the GCP data platform infrastructure at Vinted. As part of the Data Platform Foundations team, you’ll own and improve the systems that power data ingestion, orchestration, and storage, helping ensure data from production services is reliably available for analytics and decision making across the company.
Data Platform Foundations team owns the core infrastructure behind data ingestion and scheduling. We operate at a large scale and focus on reliability, scalability and platform consistency. In this role, you’ll work closely with ML Ops, analytical engineers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to improve shared infrastructure, how we manage data platform infrastructure in GCP and on-premises environments
In this position, you’ll- Own and improve GCP data platform infrastructure that powers ingestion, orchestration and storage
- Own and manage, standardize and evolve shared cloud infrastructure
- Build and maintain reliable data ingestion and orchestration components
- Design and optimize jobs and workflows that support the broader data platform
- Improve automation, scalability, observability and data integrity
- Work closely with ML Ops, analytical engineers, data scientists and other stakeholders
- Help define reusable platform patterns and best practices across teams
- Participate in on-call rotations and contribute to operational excellence
- Strong experience building and operating data platform infrastructure
- Solid hands-on experience with Terraform and cloud infrastructure management
- Experience working across teams and supporting multiple technical stakeholders
- Strong programming skills in Python, Scala or Java
- Experience with Airflow, Spark, BigQuery and containerised environments like Docker and Kubernetes
- Comfortable owning technical solutions and improving shared platform capabilities
- Strong written and verbal technical communication skills
- Nice to have: dbt, Iceberg, Kafka, Schema Registry

The salary range for this position is € 4,817 - € 6,517 gross per month.
