Your key responsibilities
- As part of this Role, we are seeking advanced expertise in Python and SQL based Data Engineering.
- Strong Experience in API development using python-based frameworks.
- Strong Experience in building highly scalable and reusable python frameworks.
- Highly experienced in RDBMS (Oracle, Postgres, Big Query) and ETL/ELT concepts.
- Highly experienced in using orchestration tools (Airflow).
- This senior role, you will be a trusted advisor, providing technical expertise and strategic direction across all things in data engineering.
Technical Expertise:
- Must have development experience using Python, SQL.
- Design and optimize complex data pipelines for efficient data ingestion, transformation, and analysis.
- Partner with product management group and other business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and design effective reusable python driven frameworks.
- Design and develop complex data models, leveraging expertise in relational and dimensional modeling techniques.
- Advocate for best practices of Data Engineering.
Collaboration & Mentorship:
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and drive data-driven decision-making.
- Mentor and guide junior team members on Data Engineering technologies.
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the data and BI domain.
Staying Current:
- Track emerging trends and innovations in Data Engineering methodologies.
- Proactively research and recommend new technologies and solutions to enhance our data capabilities.
Your skills and experience
- 10 years of experience in data warehousing, data management, and data engineering.
- Must have ETL/ELT process building using Python and strong Python scripting knowledge.
- Must have experience architecting and building scalable data frameworks.
- Experience designing and implementing complex data pipelines.
- In-depth knowledge of relational and dimensional modeling techniques for BI.
- Experience with PL SQL.
- Strong Experience in API development and Data Extraction from API using python-based frameworks.
- Experience in Data integration concepts.
- Experience with DevOps tools like Git, Jenkins.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to translate technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for business stakeholders.
- Strong leadership presence and ability to influence and inspire others.
- Knowledge of Sustainable Finance / ESG Risk / CSRD / Regulatory Reporting will be a plus
- Knowledge of GCP cloud infrastructure and data governance best practices will be a plus.
- Knowledge of Terraform will be a plus.
