Job Objective: Design, implement, and optimize end-to-end analytical solutions in Microsoft Fabric, ensuring data quality, scalability, governance, and alignment with business needs.
Responsibilities:
- Design architecture based on Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold).
- Implement scalable ETL/ELT processes, historical loads, incremental loads, and CDC.
- Configure and manage Fabric Capacity.
- Ensure data governance through Microsoft Purview.
- Optimize Delta tables (Partitioning, Optimize/Z-Order/V-Order).
- Integrate data from multiple sources (APIs, SFTP, ERP, SQL Server, ADLS Gen2).
- Manage access control, auditing, traceability, and data quality.
- Document processes and architectures clearly.
- Collaborate with BI, Data Quality teams, and business users.
Requirements
3–6+ years in Data Engineering / Analytics.
1–2 years working directly with Microsoft Fabric or participating in migrations from Azure/Synapse.
- Deep knowledge of OneLake, Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, and Pipelines.
- Strong SQL and Python skills (essential for Notebooks).
- Expertise in Delta Lake and Parquet formats.
- Familiarity with access control, error handling, and reprocessing.
Technical Skills:
- Fabric Data Factory (Pipelines) and prior experience with Azure Data Factory / Synapse.
- Fabric Data Engineering (Spark) with experience in Databricks / Synapse.
- Power BI (advanced semantic modeling, Direct Lake).
- PySpark, advanced SQL, Power Query / Dataflows Gen2.
- Git / Azure DevOps (version control, deployment pipelines).
- Governance and security in Fabric (Workspaces, Roles, OneSecurity).
Desirable Plus:
- Knowledge of Data Activator for real-time responses.
- Familiarity with Copilot in Fabric.
Certifications:
- Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer
- Azure Data Engineer
- Power BI Data Analyst
