Define requirements with cross-functional teams, implement high-quality, secure, scalable C++/OOP solutions, run code reviews, and perform lab test-bench integration. Ensure use of modern development methodologies and mentor engineers.

As a Lead Software Engineer here at Honeywell Aerosapce, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and guidance to a team of software engineers, driving the development of high-quality software solutions that meet the needs of our customers and contribute to the success of our business.

ResponsibilitiesKEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Designing and developing high-quality Core Software architecture and applications.
  • Integrating Flight Management software for new product development.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define software requirements and specifications.
  • Implement software solutions that meet performance, security, and scalability requirements.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Testing and Integration on test benches in labs.
  • Staying up to date with industry trends and best practices in software development.
Qualifications

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.

YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in software development.
  • Strong C++ or Object-oriented programming skills.
  • Comprehensive experience with software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum.
  • Strong software architecture and design development skills.

  • Advanced degrees in Computer Science or related fields.
  • Experience in developing software for embedded systems.
  • Multi-core / multi-thread development experience.
  • Strong understanding of OOAD approach and concepts.
  • Software development lifecycle experience per DO-178C.
  • Experience with Software Verification and Validation using C++.
  • Strong analytical and software development skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Passion for continuous learning and professional development.
