Your profile

We are looking for a Senior Data Architect (F/M/X) with a strong customer focus and: 

• Proven experience in the design and implementation of data warehouse and analytics solutions for medium-sized and enterprise companies 
• Applied knowledge in different data modeling approaches and data integration patterns as well as common architecture documentation techniques 
• Experience in leading development teams and defining development processes 
• Structured approach in requirements engineering with business departments and IT 
• Very good knowledge of the Azure Data Stack -- Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake and Power BI as well as Azure Fundamentals 
• Skills in using Databricks, Snowflake and/or Spark 
• Knowledge of infrastructure and deployment automation 
• Solid experience in general programming - ideally Python, SQL, C# and PowerShell 

Data is your passion. You can clearly feel this when you explain the possible uses of modern data technologies to customers or when you design a complex data architecture with and for your colleagues in the team. You have many years of practical experience in working with data analytics, data warehouse and reporting solutions, know the challenges of integrating heterogeneous source systems and always keep the business use case in focus. We prefer to apply agile methods in our way of working. Therefore, it is crucial that you feel comfortable with this approach. You should be able to communicate clearly and effectively in German and English in customer-facing situations, especially with people who may not be as tech-savvy. Good written and oral language skills are therefore of great importance. Being a team player and appreciating sharing knowledge should come naturally to you. It is important that you have the passion and drive to achieve common goals and objectives.  
 

Your tasks

• Technical responsibility for the planning and implementation of analytics solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform 
• Leading development teams 
• Design of data architectures and data models for analytical applications 
• Requirements Engineering and KPI Definition 
• Hands-on project work in the field of data integration and/or reporting/analysis 
• Know-how transfer both internally and to the customer
