In this role, you will play a key part in enhancing our database through its annual content upgrade, developing and refining LCA models in the Sphera LCA for Experts software. You will grow into a specialist in Data-on-Demand queries, creating tailored solutions for clients across sectors such as electronics, end-of-life, and construction, while supporting customers with MLC database-related topics.

This position offers the opportunity to develop into a life cycle assessment expert and a power user of Sphera tools, as well as to turn analytical insights into action by evaluating and categorizing JIRA issues into new features, improvements, or bug fixes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be seen as expert in LCA modelling for electronics, pharma, renewable materials, textiles, construction or similar sector
  • Help to coordinate the according dataset sector upgrade
  • Contribute to the development of data-on-demand datasets as well as external client projects
  • Work according to the process based on the “Scrum” methodology updating and creating content for the MLC databases
  • Support customer inquiries and information requests
  • Support the planning of own work
  • Drive AI and other tool usage to improve data management

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Completed degree in engineering or natural sciences with a technical background or similar practical experience
  • A few years of experience in LCA and ideally in the use of LCA FE software.
  • Profound knowledge in SQL, Python and/or other programming languages as well as experience in AI tool usage
  • Structured and disciplined in the day-to-day organization of work, with a particular interest in adhering to and promoting predefined processes.
  • Interest in dealing with technical details of the manufacturing process of material and energy supplies, etc.
  • Very good analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) in English Knowledge and passion for sustainability, life cycle thinking, product sustainability, and/or climate change
  • Natural curiosity to investigate issues, conduct research, design solutions and translate results into business practices
  • Affinity for team work, as well as ability to work independently and responsibly
