As we expand, we are looking for a seasoned Data Analyst under the data team to work closely with our cross functional teams to ensure data integrity and accuracy across systems.
Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing the inbound data sources such as insurance policies, claims and, product performance of claims processing systems. This role is critical in supporting the product development and data governance processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Query and analyze large datasets to generate production and ad hoc reports for internal and external stakeholders; support data validation and data preparation efforts.
- Manage internal data requests by clarifying stakeholder needs, conducting analyses, and effectively communicating results to end users.
- Triage and document stakeholder requests, and support the development of accurate, timely responses.
- Support ad hoc analysis requests from leadership, product, marketing and sales.
- Serving as a knowledge expert for insurance and claims data processes and identifying areas of improvement to ensure appropriate turnaround times and data quality standards are being met.
- Collaborates with data engineering team members to enhance data models, pipelines and reporting infrastructure based on evolving analytical requirements
- Translates complex analytical finding into actionable insights and concise presentations for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Proactively identify trends, anomalies and opportunities for growth, efficiency and risk mitigation.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to resolve data quality issues and enhance the reporting infrastructure
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy across systems and reporting tools.
- Support data governance lead with cataloging and documentation of data sources.
- Support data definition, documentation, and alignment across product and engineering partners.
- Contribute to a growing data culture and support implementation of best practices in analytics methodology and governance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience as a data analyst in insurance space.
- Experience working with Databricks, Spark, and Azure data services.
- Proficiency with NoSQL and SQL databases.
- Strong attention to detail, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient with data visualization tools (i.e. PowerBI).
- Knowledge and experience with Python a plus.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines a plus.
Additional Information:
- You must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Hours are flexible, but availability during core business hours (Eastern) is expected.
- Requires travel of up to 10%.
