Garner’s mission is to transform the healthcare economy, delivering high-quality and affordable care for all.
We are fundamentally reimagining how healthcare works in the U.S. by partnering with employers to redesign healthcare benefits using clear incentives and powerful, data-driven insights. Our approach guides employees to higher-quality, lower-cost care, creating a system that works better for everyone. Patients achieve better health outcomes, employers spend healthcare dollars more effectively, and physicians are rewarded for delivering exceptional care rather than performing more procedures.
Garner is one of the fastest-growing healthcare technology companies in the country. Our products are trusted by the most sophisticated employers and providers in the industry, and we are building a team of talented, mission-driven individuals who are motivated to make a meaningful impact on healthcare at scale.
About the role:
We are seeking an exceptional Senior Product Analyst to join Garner and drive how data shapes member health outcomes at scale.
You'll own the measurement and analytics strategy for our recommendation features and provider directory app by defining how we use data to steer members to better healthcare outcomes. This means partnering with Product Manager, Data Scientists & Engineers to design experiments that validate product changes, build statistical models to measure member behavior, and distill insights into clear narratives that drive decisions from product teams all the way to leadership.
Where you will work:This role will be based in our New York City office. You must be willing to work in the office 3 days per week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
What you will do:- Own measurement frameworks end-to-end. Define KPIs, metrics, & dimensions for major product initiatives, including goal setting and metric design. Measure the impact of initiatives via A/B testing and statistical analysis to communicate results to leadership.
- Design and execute experiments at scale. Scope experiments in partnership with product managers & engineers using causal inference, time-series modeling, and other advanced techniques to isolate impact from noise.
- Surface insights that drive decisions. Identify patterns in member behavior, provider network effects & engagement trends that reveal opportunities for product improvements. Synthesize those into executive ready narratives that resonate with technical and executive audiences.
- Build and maintain data pipelines & models. Own data pipelines, dashboards, & models that enable cohort analysis, propensity scoring and forecasting.
- Raise the bar. Mentor junior analysts by defining how Garner approaches experimentation, causality & metric validation. Coach product managers & engineers to ask better questions. Be a steward of Garner’s Data Ecosystem by automating pipelines, developing repeatable patterns and training your peers on how to use them.
- 5+ years of experience in business analytics, or a related quantitative field (industry, academia, or both)
- Deep SQL & automation skills. Own complex efficient SQL to transform data including experience automating that logic into dashboard, data ontologies, & statistical models. Advanced analytical & statistical rigor. An understanding of experiment design, including randomization, sample size, & threats to validity. You are comfortable with causal inference methods and can reason about the tradeoffs between speed & rigor.
- Data visualization and communication. Translate complex analyses into clear insights for different audiences using dashboards, slides, notebooks, etc.
- Autonomy and judgment. Independently scope complex problems, make decisions with ambiguous data, and deliver high-quality results to senior stakeholders.
- Product mindset. You're curious about why metrics move, not just that they move. You understand the member experience and the business model. You ask "what should we do about this?" not just "here's what the data says."
- A desire to be a part of a high-performing, mission-driven team that operates with intense urgency, a strong sense of individual accountability, and a commitment to authentic feedback.
The target salary range for this position is $167,000 - $200,000. Individual compensation for this role will depend on various factors, including qualifications, skills, and applicable laws. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible to participate in our equity incentive and competitive benefits plans, including but not limited to: flexible PTO, Medical/Dental/Vision plan options, 401(k) with company match, flexible spending accounts, Teladoc Health and more.
