This opportunity is in the Information Technology department

Role Description:

As a Senior Data Analyst, you will take a pivotal role in advancing our enterprise data strategy and helping business teams turn complex challenges into data-driven solutions. You’ll collaborate closely with Data Architects, Engineers, and BI Analysts, acting as a bridge between business objectives and technical execution. With your expertise in Power BI administration, SQL, and relational database design, you’ll deliver actionable insights through dashboards, data models, and analytical assets. Your day-to-day will include mentoring junior team members, guiding end users to the right data sources, optimizing enterprise reporting strategies, and championing best practices in data governance. Qualifications:

Education:
Bachelor’s degree is required, or a combination of at least two of the following: a bachelor’s degree, five or more years of experience in I.T. or related field, or five or more relevant certifications within the data or analytics domain.

Required Qualifications:

• Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
• This position allows for a hybrid work schedule which includes a minimum of 3 days per week in our St. Louis Corporate Office, located at 1832 Schuetz Rd. Saint Louis, MO. All employees are required to submit work from home requests and follow our Work From Home policy, which will be provided to all candidates selected to interview.
• Advanced Power BI expertise, including dashboard development, workspace management, permissions, and deployment
• Strong command of Microsoft SQL Server and relational database design
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as Snowflake, Azure, or AWS

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with self-service BI platforms (Power BI preferred)
• Experience with data governance tools like Alation
• Background in insurance or a related industry
• Familiarity with SAFe Agile methodology
• Strong documentation, coaching, and communication skills

Safety National is committed to fair, transparent pay and we strive to provide competitive, market-based compensation. In our vision to be First with Co-Workers, compensation is only one piece of the comprehensive total rewards package we offer. The target base salary range for this position is $86,000 to $112,000. Compensation for the successful candidate will consider the candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, experience and geographic location.
