This role will be working within our Power and Renewable Analytics group and focus on the research, development and delivery of modelling and analytical solutions within our products. You'll collaborate closely with a cross-functional team of analysts, data scientists, software engineers, data engineers and product managers that deliver our product roadmap. You'll apply advanced analytical techniques and ensure high standards of data quality and integrity in our solutions.
The successful candidate for this role must have a strong data analytics background and understand the challenges of delivering data products with a commitment to incremental delivery. Proven experience of data analytics projects, and the ability to articulate ideas effectively across multiple business areas is essential.
As one of our Senior Data Analysts you will:

Use advanced analytical capabilities to develop innovative solutions for complex business problems
-
Work with our product team to understand the problems our customers face, help design solutions to solve them and ensure alignment with our strategic objectives

Apply appropriate data engineering, data mining and statistical concepts to develop data products from proof of concept to production
-
Write maintainable, testable, and optimised code – and help junior team members do the same
-
Collaborate with teams deploying solutions within their product area and identify feedback that will improve the platform
-
Ensure the high-quality implementation and delivery of our roadmap
-
Devise effective, iterative validation and tests to improve model performance

Be supported to grow and develop your skills whilst coaching junior colleagues
You're a great fit for this role if:

You have an advanced degree in statistics, computer science, applied mathematics, or a related field

You have strong knowledge of advanced applied data science: mathematical, computational, statistical modelling techniques, neural networks, data analysis and visualization

You are able to apply statistical concepts to solve real world problems

You have experience of modelling power supply/demand fundamentals and an understanding of power market mechanisms in one of our core regions (North America, Europe, APAC)

Our tech stack
We use a wide variety of tools and technologies across our products, for this role we're looking for:

Solid skills in using Python to perform EDA and solve regression, forecasting, classification and other analytical problems

Confident user of data visualization or BI tools such as PowerBi to validate data and inform decision making

Experience with data pre-processing, data wrangling, and data augmentation techniques

Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, data modelling, and database querying.

Ability to work with and collaborate in Jira using agile development best practices

Proficiency in using cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure for deploying scalable AI solutions
Additional beneficial skills might include:

Understanding of big data technologies (e.g. Spark, Hadoop)

Familiarity with ML-adjacent technologies like AWS Sagemaker and Apache Airflow

Understanding of MLOps practices, model deployment, and monitoring in production environments. Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
