ROLE OVERVIEW:
Responsible for data consistency and accuracy of key master, reference and transaction data across multiple enterprise applications including ERP and data warehouse. Establish and ensure adherence to data standards, definitions, ownership, quality, security and change management to achieve the required level of data consistency and quality to meet business needs.
Major Responsibilities:
- Engage with business users, data stewards and stake holders to assist implementation of data management program enabling them to manage data efficiently and consistently with high quality while holding them to account
- Provide functional and technical leadership to educate data owners, stewards and stake holders the why and how of data management in ERP and other enterprise applications in the areas of CRM, Pricing, HR, financial consolidation, maintenance, MES, quality, transportation etc.,
- Oversee operations of cross functional teams & engage with data owners, stewards to adhere to and maintain the master data governance processes
- Determine and prioritize key data and data attributes such as customers, suppliers, Items, chart of accounts, finance dimensions that need to be harmonized within a system and across multiple systems
- Participate in data migration activities to ensure compliance of data governance processes during data cleansing, data creation, data conversion, issue resolution, and data validation
- Establish, maintain and document data standards, data definitions using enterprise business glossary, data security and data privacy.
- Assist in defining roles and responsibilities related to data governance and ensure clear accountability for stewardship of the company's principal information assets
- Lead the development and implementation of data quality metrics and dashboards to proactively identify and resolve data quality issues in close coordination with data owners and stewards.
- Coach/support business colleagues in data quality control through mentorship
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Data Analytics or equivalent
- 5+ years’ experience implementing ERP (such as Infor ERP LN, SAP, Oracle applications) in functional / configuration role including data migration and data management
- Working experience in business functions such as Finance, Commercial, Supply Chain, Logistics, Procurement and Manufacturing
- Experience in applications in the areas of CRM, Transportation, MES, Quality, Pricing, financial consolidation is a plus
- Manufacturing industry experience is preferred
- Experience in Agile methodology / scrum approach is a plus
Knowledge and Skills:
- Excellent written, verbal communication, presentation, project management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work within a team environment using consensus building to achieve a desired result
- Consistently exhibits a positive, “can-do” attitude
