Position Overview

Autodesk Education Experiences, or AEX, helps students, educators, and education institutions build the skills and experience needed for the future of design and make. We strengthen connections between education and industry, expand adoption of Autodesk technology, and support workforce readiness in an increasingly AI-enabled world.

We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join the Business Operations and Analytics team. You will partner with Marketing, Sales, Operations, Strategy, and other teams to understand business needs, scope analytical work, and turn customer and business data into clear insights and practical recommendations.

This role focuses on delivering insights and decision support while collaborating with data and technology teams as needed. You will work hands-on with SQL, Python, Snowflake, and business intelligence tools, and use approved AI tools to improve the speed and quality of analysis, coding, synthesis, and communication.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with stakeholders to understand business goals, clarify analytical needs, and translate broad questions into focused analyses, metrics, and deliverables

  • Analyze customer behavior, product usage, engagement, retention, marketing performance, and operational outcomes

  • Use SQL, Python, Snowflake, visualization tools, and appropriate analytical methods to answer business questions

  • Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and reusable analyses that support decision-making

  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities and translate findings into clear, practical recommendations

  • Communicate insights through visualizations, written narratives, presentations, and discussions tailored to technical and nontechnical audiences

  • Use approved generative AI tools to support analysis, coding, documentation, automation, synthesis, and business communication while validating outputs for accuracy and appropriate data handling

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional experience in data analysis, business intelligence, customer analytics, marketing analytics, product analytics, or a related field

  • Bachelor’s degree, professional credential, or equivalent practical experience in a quantitative, analytical, business, or related discipline

  • Strong SQL skills and experience independently querying, combining, validating, and analyzing data in Snowflake or a comparable platform

  • Experience using Python or another analytical programming or scripting language

  • Experience with a business intelligence or visualization platform such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or a comparable tool

  • Experience partnering with business stakeholders to scope analytical work and translate findings into actionable recommendations

  • Demonstrated use of generative AI tools—such as Claude, Claude Code, Cursor, Cortex AI, or comparable platforms—to improve analytical, coding, or communication workflows

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Marketing, Sales, Operations, customer lifecycle, or product teams

  • Experience in technology, SaaS, education, or another data-rich environment

  • Experience using analytical methods to understand customer behavior or business performance

The Ideal Candidate

You are curious, analytical, and comfortable working with both data and people. You can move from an unclear business question to a focused analysis, explain your reasoning, and communicate what the data means in practical terms.

You are hands-on with analytical tools and use AI as a standard part of getting work done. You understand that AI can improve speed and quality, while judgment, validation, and clear communication remain your responsibility.
