Role
As a Senior Data Strategist, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering high-impact data transformation initiatives for Visium’s clients. You will lead strategic workstreams, act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, and ensure the delivery of robust, actionable strategies grounded in strong data management principles.
You will combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution, leveraging your experience in consulting and data management to drive measurable business outcomes.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Define data strategies, platform visions, and transformation roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
- Design data governance frameworks, ownership models, and data management practices
- Translate business priorities into prioritized portfolios of data & AI use cases with clear business cases
- Lead the design of data foundations and modern data platforms (e.g. data products)
- Structure analyses and deliver high-quality, insight-driven strategic recommendations.
- Lead end-to-end transformation workstreams from discovery to implementation
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders (CDO, CTO, business leaders)
- Identify opportunities to expand engagements and create additional client value.
- Contribute to proposals and positioning of Visium’s Data & AI offerings.
- Mentor consultants and contribute to practice development and thought leadership.
Requirements
What we are looking for
- 6+ years of experience in data strategy, data platform/foundation design, data management and consulting experience.
- Proven experience leading end-to-end data transformation initiatives (strategy → implementation)
- Understanding of modern data architectures (data products, data vault, etc.)
- Expertise in data governance, operating models, and data management frameworks
- Experience defining and prioritizing data use cases with clear business value
- Ability to bridge business and technical teams, ensuring feasibility and impact
- Strong stakeholder management experience with senior leadership (CDO, CIO, business heads)
- Excellent communication skills with experience engaging senior stakeholders
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a drive to shape and grow client engagements
- CDMP (DAMA-DMBOK) certification is a strong plus
- Fluent in English, French is a plus
