Position Overview
Autodesk is seeking a strategic and collaborative leader to join our Customer Marketing team as the Senior Customer Experience Manager, Executive Councils, reporting to the Senior Manager, Customer Marketing. In this role, you will lead the content strategy and executive engagement model for our industry executive customer council programs.
You will shape the conversations Autodesk has with some of our most strategic customers—defining the themes, agendas, and desired outcomes that create value for both our customers and Autodesk.
You will partner with senior leaders across Industry Marketing, Strategy, Product, Sales, and Customer Success to bring the right topics and perspectives into each engagement. You will also translate council conversations into actionable customer insights that can inform Autodesk’s product, strategy, go-to-market, and customer marketing priorities.
You will work closely with a Program Manager who is responsible for program operations, logistics, and event execution, while you focus on content strategy, executive engagement, customer insight, and stakeholder alignment. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable engaging with senior executives, can turn complex business topics into compelling conversations, and knows how to translate customer dialogue into meaningful business impact.
Responsibilities
Define the strategic direction, themes, and narrative across executive council programs
Develop agendas, discussion frameworks, and session content in partnership with senior internal stakeholders
Align council conversations to Autodesk’s strategic priorities and the issues that matter most to participating customers
Design engagements that encourage meaningful, candid dialogue with senior customer and Autodesk leaders
Partner with leaders across Industry Marketing, Strategy, Product, Sales, and Customer Success to identify priority topics and desired outcomes
Brief and prepare Autodesk executives for each council engagement
Facilitate or guide executive-level conversations during council sessions
Navigate a complex, matrixed organization and influence across functions to drive alignment and high-quality engagement
Capture and synthesize key themes, perspectives, and insights from council discussions
Translate customer input into clear, actionable insights for Product, Strategy, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success leaders
Identify opportunities for council insights to inform business priorities and strengthen the voice of the customer across Autodesk
Connect council relationships and outcomes to broader customer advocacy, recognition, and storytelling opportunities
Partner with a Program Manager who owns program operations, logistics, measurement, and event execution
Ensure alignment between content strategy, program goals/KPIs, and the overall customer experience
Build and maintain strong relationships with executive council members and help deliver a high-value, premium experience throughout their engagement with Autodesk
Minimum Qualifications
12+ years of relevant experience in customer marketing, executive engagement, content strategy, customer advisory programs, or a related discipline
Experience developing strategic content and facilitating discussions for executive audiences
Strong communication, stakeholder management, and synthesis skills, with the ability to turn complex topics and customer conversations into clear insights and actions
Experience with executive customer programs such as customer advisory boards, executive councils, executive briefing programs, or similar strategic customer engagements
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with senior executives and cross-functional leaders
Preferred Qualifications
Experience translating complex business, technology, or industry topics into clear and engaging executive discussion frameworks
Strong analytical and synthesis skills, particularly in turning qualitative customer input into actionable business insights
Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, highly matrixed environment and influence without direct authority
Experience working within or serving customers in one or more of Autodesk’s key industries, including Architecture, Engineering, Construction and Operations; Design and Manufacturing; or Media and Entertainment
