Senior Customer Data Platform (CDP) Architect for Marketing and Communications

The Senior Enterprise Data Architect will report into the Marketing Technology (MarTech) team and will provide discipline related to building, optimizing, and maintaining conceptual and logical database models that facilitate the execution of change towards omni channel personalized customer experience vision and outcomes. This role will also assist in the activities of developing a direction for managing the data portfolio of to-be solutions to better match business outcome objectives.

Job Functions:

• Provide data architecture direction and guidance to technology and business partners in the support of Marketing and Servicing Communications that starts and ends with a focus on delivering actionable recommendations to peers and leadership
• Design Data analytics solutions by utilizing the Big Data technology stack
• Create and present solution architecture documents with deep technical details
• Work closely with business in identifying solution requirements and key case-studies/scenarios for future solutions
• Conduct solution architecture review/audit, calculate and present ROI
• Lead implementation of the solutions from establishing project requirements and goals to solution "go-live"
• Work with the senior management on defining data strategy and best practices, as well as identifying opportunities to increase efficiency, resiliency throughout the organization
• Provide leadership and mentoring within the team competencies to create a "value-add" approach to technology and business outcomes
• Prepare documentation and messaging necessary for technology to communicate data strategies and plans to executive management
• Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends and best practices

Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Minimum experience will include 5+ years of performing analysis on system and business requirements to facilitate the data strategy for the organization.
• Strong 'hands-on' experience as a Big Data Architect with a solid design/development background with Java, Scala, or Python
• Experience in big data solutions on premises and on the cloud preferably AWS (Amazon Web Services)
• Must have the following foundational skills: Data Modeling, Design, Analysis, Communication, Leadership, Integrations, data warehousing, and Best Practices.
• Production project experience in at least one of the Big Data technologies
• Knowledge of Agile Development methodology, Scrum in particular
• Experience working with application and data warehouse teams to understand the storage, transformation and transferring of data through the technology ecosystem.
• Analytical mindset and ability to grasp complex topics.
• Familiarity with Business, Solutions, Application, Data, Infrastructure and Security architectures.

• Background in traditional Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence stacks including:
  
  • ETL: Talend, Informatica, Pentaho, Microsoft SSIS, IBM DataStage, etc
  • MPP Databases: Snowflake, HP Vertica, Pivotal Greenplum, Cloudera Impala, Amazon Redshift
  • Reporting: Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, SAP Business Objects, TIBCO Spotfire, etc
  • Stream processing: Kafka / Flink / Spark Streaming / Storm
• Ability to create and foster relationships within technology and to the business.
• Excellent Communication Skills
