Social Finance, LLC seeks Senior Credit Strategy Analyst/ Senior Data Scientist in
Frisco, TX:
Job Duties: Analyze and evaluate data to develop and propose value-added credit risk
strategies and models for SoFi’s lending products, including Personal Loan, Student
Loan Refinance, Private Student Loan, and Credit Card. Develop and implement
personal loan underwriting and loan amount assignment strategies that meet our risk
appetite, conducting the fair lending testing for the underwriting strategies, monitoring
and analyzing the risk trends within the portfolio to provide insights and
recommendations for strategy enhancement opportunities. Collaborate with cross-
functional teams such as Business Units, Capital Markets, Product and Engineering,
and use business knowledge and quantitative and analytical skills to drive revenue,
control risk, and provide value to the company and consumers. Possess a data-driven
analytics background and the strategic acumen to direct a function that draws strategic
insights from data using database and statistical analysis tools to inform decisions and
support SoFi’s overarching strategic goals relative to loss prevention and profit
optimization. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Sofi offices may be required.
Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer
Science, Data Science, Business, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative
discipline, and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or in any occupation in
related field, OR Bachelor’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer
Science, Data Science, Business, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative
discipline, and six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or
in any occupation in related field.
Special Skill Requirements: (1) SQL; (2) Python; (3) Decision Trees; (4) Credit
strategy/Fraud strategy; (5) Financial analysis; (6) Data analysis; (7) Tableau; (8) AWS.
Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable.
Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Sofi offices may be required.
Salary: $180,000.00 - $207,000.00 per annum.
