Job Summary
The Senior Credit Analyst is responsible for evaluating the creditworthiness of potential and existing clients. They analyze financial data to determine appropriate credit limits and risk categories, playing a key role in safeguarding the company's financial health.
Key Responsibilities
Credit Analysis:
Perform thorough credit evaluations and risk assessments for new and existing customers utilizing financial statements, credit bureaus, and industry trends. Manage large volume, annual portfolio reviews and credit limit assessments efficiently.
Propose appropriate credit limits and risk category based on detailed analysis and risk assessment.
Process adhoc credit change requests on new and existing high-value accounts and work closely with Collections and Commercial Team for required, timely documentation.
Develop and maintain credit scoring models and exposure at default (EAD) assumptions.
Risk Management: Develop, implement, and monitor credit policies and procedures to minimize financial risk and maximize profitability.
Reporting: Prepare monthly reports such as Credit Limit Edit Report, Payment Terms and Baseline Date Edit Report
Collaboration: Partner with stakeholders such as the Collections Team, Commercial Team and Business Finance/CFO to inform credit decisions and communicate customer risk.
Mentorship : Training and mentoring Junior Credit Analysts and contribute to process improvements and automation efforts.
Project: Initiate and lead credit risk projects, ensure it is delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget
Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, MBA preferred.
Experience: At least 2 years of experience in commercial credit analysis, credit risk management. Strong financial statement analysis skills, and advanced proficiency in Microsoft excel.
