We have intermediate credit analyst (with 3 to 5 years’ experience) positions that offer an ideal opportunity
to gain exposure to a new, strategically important, and high-profile team within ING Wholesale Banking.
We are looking for experienced credit professionals who have in-depth experience in monitoring loan
covenants, financial spreading, risk rating, and credit reviews. The aim is to help shape the future processes
within lending support across the entire global ING Wholesale Banking network. The role would suit
candidates who want to begin or expand a career in corporate lending and credit analysis.
Who we’re looking for:
• Bachelor’s degree preferred - if possible, in Business, Accounting, Finance or Economics but can be in
another discipline coupled with strong knowledge of accounting.
• Work experience should be in financial services involving corporate or institutional lending.
• Solid understanding of the financial statements of companies.
• We value resourcefulness, teamwork, and enthusiasm all of which might be demonstrated via your
previous work experience or perhaps involvement in extracurricular activities.
• High level of attention to detail coupled with strong organisational and scheduling skills are important.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills. You will be working with teams across
multiple lines of business based in many different counties so strong communication skills are a must.
Main Responsibilities
• Analysing financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statement) of public
and private companies and inputting the required data into various credit analysis systems.
• Screening the loan agreements and understanding the financial covenants applicable to the borrower.
• Preparation of various reports for lending teams across the globe for overdue ratings, covenants and
financials – we want to be able to proactively help the lending teams resolve any issues before they
may arise.
• Conducting background research independently to understand the broad drivers that guide various
sectors in which the borrowers operate with a view to performing a brief risk assessment, resulting in
an appropriate risk rating.
• You will tap into your credit, analytical, and technical skills while working collaboratively with your local
and global peers and management teams.
• You will work with engaged managers and have exposure to global teams across all areas of Wholesale
Banking (e.g., corporate, real estate, and financial institutions etc).
Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree (preferably Business, Accounting, Finance, or Economics)
- 3-5 years' experience in credit analysis or corporate/institutional lending
- In-depth experience monitoring loan covenants, financial spreading, risk rating, and credit reviews
- Solid understanding of company financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- High attention to detail and strong organisational and scheduling skills
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with local and global teams
