About the RoleThe Senior Creative Director is responsible for oversight of omnichannel brand visual creative across marketing programs and channels, as well as upleveling and holding omnichannel brand visual creative to a standard of excellence.
This leader will create omnichannel brand visual strategy for seasonal campaigns and new programs, oversee art direction, design and styling of all visual creative, inspire/mentor/coach designers, art directors and stylists, concept for seasonal campaigns and new marketing programs, work collaboratively with all creative teams in creating holistic brand experience and collaborate with strategic agency partners.
The Senior Creative Director will lead a team of art directors, graphic designers and stylists working in all mediums. They will work closely with Marekting and Creative leadership, leading and creating omnichannel brand visuals for seasonal marketing programs, campaigns, activations, and events.What You'll Do
- Lead strategic omnichannel brand marketing campaign concepts to provide creative solutions that meet business objectives
- Develop positioning and visual creative strategies for seasonal campaigns, marketing programs, retail, activations, events and other branded content and experiences
- Partner closely with the integrated brand creative and marketing team members to develop and deliver creative for robust 360 customer brand experience, with emphasis on customer-focused innovation and brand love
- Lead multiple projects simultaneously across all vehicles (digital, retail, print), through the management and motivation of teams of talented visual creatives and effective collaboration with cross-functional partners
- Effectively delegate work, while monitoring team bandwidth, finding synergies where possible and collaborating and inspiring teamwork
- Facilitate the creative process across the team to build concept boards, photo briefs and design assets across multiple channels to visualize and execute creative concept; Oversee photoshoots and art direction at high level
- Elevate and drive a commitment to design and styling solutions that are uniquely Athleta based on the Athleta Brand World
- Present creative in various settings, partnering with key senior leaders to garner feedback, create alignment and attain resources
- Direct and manage the work of strategic agency partners, ensuring the Athleta Brand World is preserved and reinforced
Who You Are
- 15+ years of art direction and/or creative direction experience, including people management
- BA or BFA preferred in Graphic Design or Communication Design
- Proficient knowledge of Adobe CS, InVision, MS, MIRO
- Experience concepting, designing and art directing campaigns across marketing channels (including retail and digital); Deep knowledge of photography and videography
- Passion for wellbeing/fashion/lifestyle retail and understanding of current industry related trends
- Goal oriented, with demonstrated success in managing through ambiguity and change in a fast-paced, complex environment
- Strong critical-thinking, problem-solving and strategic-thinking skills to synthesize, develop, present and build consensus around clear and concise recommendations
- Well versed in short-term and long-range planning and execution of a portfolio of projects; Experience handling budgets and formulating resourcing plans
- Experience in recruiting, hiring, managing, developing and motivating large teams of talented and diverse professionals
- Established skillset in relationship-building, presentation and communication (written and verbal); Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work with a variety of people in various disciplines
