The Senior Creative Designer will develop creative designs solutions for the transportation and product design industry. The role will coach, lead and mentor team members in all aspects of creative services project support. This part time position is located in Dearborn, MI.
As a Senior Creative Designer, you will:
- Lead and manage team members including providing guidance and training
- Create 2D sketches, renderings, and 3D digital formats in multimedia software
- Interpret and define customer requirements and project objectives
- Develop innovative and aesthetically pleasing sketches and renderings for presentation
- Work closely with studio, production engineering, and shop personnel to insure design feasibility
- Research competitive marketplace to understand current and future trends
- Create high quality customer presentations
- Direct 3D digital sculptors in executing and refining surface models
- Provide design direction and aesthetic input to junior designers and sculptors
- Create high quality designs and solutions to meet project deadlines
To be as considered a Senior Creative Designer, you will need:
- Bachelor of Fine Arts or Bachelor of Science in Transportation or Product Design
- Minimum of 4 years of Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) studio or Tier One working experience
- Experience in project lifetime from ideation to completion
- Minimum of 6 months of formal or informal leadership experience
- Excellent verbal and illustrative communication skills
- High level of rendering, creative problem-solving, and illustration skills
- Ability to create and deliver customer project presentations
- Excellent skills in multimedia software such as Photoshop, Alias VRED rendering, and digital 3Dsurface development
A successful candidate may also have:
- Experience or other trainings in digital 3D, Alias, Virtual Reality EDiting (VRED)
- Hands-on vehicle experience
- Proficient skills in creating Virtual Reality
- Basic skills in video animation
- Ability to work overtime as needed including weekends
