We’re looking for a Senior Creative Copywriter with strong experience in the brand, advertising and marketing space—a seasoned creative who can turn strategic briefs, campaign objectives and consumer insights into thoughtful, effective copy across channels. The ideal candidate has experience building brands, shaping campaign ideas and creating compelling marketing communications within an agency, in-house creative team or fast-paced retail environment.
Reporting to the Manager, Creative Copy & Content, you’ll be a key creative partner—equally strong as a writer, editor and concept thinker. You’ll help develop brand-led ideas, write persuasive copy for integrated campaigns and bring Canadian Tire’s voice to life across digital, social, email, site, in-store and other marketing touchpoints.

What You Will Do:
Lead creative conceptualization and iteration for marketing campaigns, promotions, and seasonal moments
Concept development (work with art directors)
Write engaging, purposeful copy across digital and print channels, including site, email, social, and in‑store materials
Champion brand tone of voice and expression across the OMNI‑channel process
Creative Governance: Support copy editing and quality control to ensure consistency and excellence
Proactively develop ideas and solutions that align with both brand and business goals
Confidently present creative concepts to project stakeholders and leadership
Embrace AI automation as a creative and productivity tool in your workflow
What you have:
7+ years as a copywriter within an agency or in‑house creative team
A strong portfolio showcasing brand‑led and retail storytelling
Strong experience mentoring other writers and giving feedback on work
Experience presenting to and working with clients and internal partners
An editor’s eye for detail, with excellent command of spelling, grammar and style guides
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with confidence
Exceptional storytelling skills, with the ability to distill complex briefs into clear, engaging narratives
Strong presentation and communication skills—you can clearly articulate ideas and concepts
A collaborative mindset and positive attitude that thrives in a fast‑moving, evolving environment
Up‑to‑date knowledge of social and digital trends across platforms like Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, and Snapchat

Broadband Salary Range: 53,000– 88,000.
Our typical hiring range is between 53,000 and 70,000. Salary decisions are also dependent on other factors such as your experience, industry benchmarks, internal equity and other role-specific requirements. For critical roles, the compensation offering will be reviewed to ensure alignment with market rate and conditions and the unique value you bring to the role.
