About Us
Instalogic Technologies Private Limited is the India subsidiary of Nova Credit, Inc., a US-headquartered financial technology (fintech) company. We’re working to power a fair and inclusive financial system for the world. Our products use reliable data and technology to help represent people fairly to financial institutions, going beyond traditional credit scores to see the full financial picture. We work with Credit Information Companies (CICs) and financial institutions globally.
The Role
We are seeking a Country Manager to lead our compliance and regulatory affairs in India. You will be the senior compliance leader responsible for managing strategic partner and regulatory relationships, overseeing the India compliance function, building partnerships with CICs and financial institutions, and serving as the primary bridge between our India entity and US headquarters.

This is a leadership role with significant autonomy and visibility to executive leadership. You will manage the compliance team in India and set the strategic direction for partner and regulatory engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy and Partnership Design
  • Develop and execute regulatory engagement strategy for India operations
  • Develop and maintain a working technical understanding of Instalogic's data retrieval architecture including consent flows, API-based integration with CICs, and data handling, sufficient to explain the mechanics accurately to regulators, partners, and internal stakeholders without relying on legal or engineering to translate
  • Serve as a credible technical voice in partner and regulatory discussions where the distinction between Instalogic's data model and alternative characterizations turns on technical specifics, not just legal argument
  • Monitor regulatory developments affecting CICs, fintech, and data localization in India, and advise leadership on implications
  • Lead responses to partner and regulatory inquiries and examinations, including strategic positioning and communication
  • Represent the company at industry forums, regulatory consultations, and policy discussions
CIC & Industry Partnerships
  • Build and manage relationships with Credit Information Companies (CICs) and other key industry partners
  • Lead negotiations and discussions with CICs regarding data access, compliance requirements, and partnership opportunities
  • Identify opportunities for collaboration and innovation with CICs and financial institutions
Team Leadership & Management
  • Manage and mentor the Compliance Analyst in India
  • Set priorities, allocate resources, and provide guidance on complex matters
  • Build a high-performing compliance culture aligned with company values
  • Conduct performance reviews and support professional development of team members
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Act as the compliance bridge between US headquarters and India operations at a strategic level
  • Collaborate with senior leaders across finance, compliance, legal, information security, and partnerships
  • Provide compliance input on business strategy, new products, and partnership decisions
  • Translate regulatory requirements into business-friendly guidance for operational teams
India Entity Management
  • Oversee the operations of the India office
  • Ensure appropriate governance structures and documentation are maintained
  • Review and approve compliance policies, procedures, and frameworks for India operations
  • Oversee regulatory filings, licenses, and reporting obligations
Requirements
Experience & Education
  • 12+ years in compliance, regulatory affairs, or related field in financial services
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, LLB, or equivalent) preferred
  • Proven track record of managing regulatory relationships partners and financial regulators at a senior level
  • Experience in a leadership or management role
  • Direct experience at a CIC and/or fintech company preferred
  • Track record of successfully navigating complex regulatory environments and building stakeholder relationships
Skills & Competencies
  • Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills with ability to communicate complex compliance matters to diverse audiences
  • Strong executive presence and ability to represent the company
  • Strategic thinking with ability to translate regulatory requirements into business opportunities
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and accurately articulate the technical architecture of a data or fintech product, including how it moves, stores, and shares data
  • Comfort engaging directly with technical/InfoSec stakeholders to understand a product well enough to defend it in high-stakes external conversations
  • Strong leadership and people management capabilities
  • Excellent judgment and decision-making in ambiguous situations
  • Ability to work independently in an asynchronous, cross-timezone environment
  • Proficiency with Mac OS, Google Workspace, Slack, project management tools, and Zoom
