The Role:
Reporting to the Senior Manager the Senior Cost Analyst plays an important role in Supply Chain spanning between business partnering, traditional costing, and FP&A responsibilities across the Consumer Care, Salon, and Molton Brown business in the Americas region.

What you will do:
- Important partner to Commercial, Finance, and Project teams to provide NPD and ad hoc product costing and analyses to support product NPD launch decisions. This is a critical pillar of sustainable growth and profit for the business.
- Key player in the development of COGS and Supply Chain/Manufacturing fixed expense forecasts and annual budgets including accurate consolidations and variance analyses for leadership and HQ Japan.
- Key support in the completion of recurring month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities across all operation areas.
- Drive business through period-end reporting requirements and leading cost reviews with partners across the different businesses and HQ Japan.
- Key support and/or lead in the coordination and execution of all annual physical count requirements at the plant and varying RDCs. This also includes year-end inventory audit confirmations.
- Take an active or leading role in identifying and implementing operational improvements including cost savings opportunities across the Supply Chain area.
- Leader in identifying and driving efficiency gains in various recurring tasks and processes within the function by using automation tools and/or taking different approaches.
- Provide coaching and guidance to other members on the overall costing processes and requirements.
- Support management and/or lead varying ad hoc projects within Supply Chain and Finance.
What you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting.
- 5+ Cost and general accounting experience.
- 5+ Financial planning and analysis (FP&A) experience
- Abilities in establishing strong working and result oriented relationships with varying stakeholders within Supply Chain and Finance at different levels, including Leadership.
- Highly developed communication skills and ability to lead meetings.
- Intermediate to advance level of MS excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets) and other MS Office suites.
- Previous experience with SAP or similar.
- knowledge of general accounting processes and controls.
- Understanding of internal and contract manufacturing.
