Position Overview:
A strategic business partner to Sanofi’s Global Manufacturing and Supply organization (M&S), embodying and advancing M&S’ mission as “Makers,” turning the miracles of science into transformative medicines and vaccines for patients. This role serves as a “business lawyer,” supporting M&S leaders across Sanofi’s Global Business Units (Specialty Care, Vaccines, General Medicines) (GBUs) with subject matter expertise in complex international manufacturing and supply transactions, biopharmaceutical manufacturing operations, and the regulatory framework governing both. The ideal candidate has represented biopharmaceutical companies in manufacturing and supply transactions in both private practice and as internal counsel in a multi-national biopharmaceutical company.

Main Responsibilities:
Serve as proactive thought partner to M&S stakeholders in each of Sanofi’s GBUs.
Drive legal strategy, drafting, and negotiation for complex transactions across the continuum of biopharmaceutical manufacturing operations, including direct materials, drug substance, active pharmaceutical ingredient, drug product, and finished goods across the GBUs on a global basis.
Lead advanced dispute resolution measures to transform conflicts into business opportunities.
Collaborate with colleagues in M&S Global Functions to drive projects related to transformation of the M&S industrial network, including those related to capacity, investment, strategic sourcing, smart spending, collaborations with external partners, and optimized risk management.
Support Business Development, Alliance, and other Legal colleagues/work streams with expert legal advice on M&S – related issues and transactions in connection with M&A and licensing activity.
Drive optimized ways of working across the Sanofi Legal Division, M&S, Global Procurement, and Business Operations with an emphasis on standardization and simplification.
Champion digital adoption and adaptation with focus on maximizing efficiency and allocation of resources to impactful work.

About You
Qualifications:
J.D. or LL.M. degree from an accredited law school; admission to practice law in a U.S. jurisdiction
10+ years of legal experience supporting complex biopharmaceutical manufacturing transactions; at least five years’ experience in-house in a multi-national biopharmaceutical company preferred
Detailed knowledge of GxP, CMC Regulatory, Standard Cost Accounting, and multi-national biopharmaceutical manufacturing operations
Demonstrated business acumen
Excellent negotiation skills and ability to effectively partner with technical and business stakeholders globally
Strong business partner support focus
Strategic mindset, entrepreneurial problem solver who continuously evaluates “what could be” and is not limited to “what is”
Demonstrated ability to work efficiently, prioritize competing projects, meet timelines, and navigate highly matrixed workstreams to completion
Excellent judgment and commitment to ethical conduct
Strong communication skills; ability to effectively address complex issues in succinct oral and written communications
Willingness to travel internationally as needed

The salary range for this position is:
$178,500.00 - $257,833.33All compensation will be determined commensurate with demonstrated experience. Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs. Additional benefits information can be found through the LINK.
