Job Description:
The purpose of this role is to lead the immediate design team members and creative work with focus, commitment and an ever-increasing knowledge of all things design and art. Realises concepts and big ideas with a dedication to producing the highest caliber of creative product.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the development of advertising campaigns from conceptualization to execution under the guidance of the Creative Director and in collaboration with the copywriting team.
Provides insightful, creative executions that positively impact a client’s business. Visualize concepts and interpret them into design.
Responsible for the overall look and feel of the creative work. Ensure brand consistency across all creative materials.
Design and produce attractive and effective layouts for various media, including digital, print, out-of-home, and social media.
Demonstrate an understanding of the target audience and brand at which the advert is targeted.
Works closely with copywriters to generate creative ideas and concepts, which are then showcased on creative decks/presentations.
Takes ownership of creative work and leads the design team by example
Provide support to the creative team on photo shoots, video production, and other multimedia projects.
Attend client meetings to present concepts and designs, taking feedback constructively and implementing changes where necessary.
Acts as a central point of contact in the team for Account Management and Project Management
Stay abreast of the latest trends in design and advertising to keep our work at the forefront of innovation.
Qualifications:
Knowledge & experiences
Degree in Graphic Design, Advertising, or a related field.
Over 5 years of experience in an art direction or design role, preferably in an agency setting.
Expert knowledge of software packages including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effect, Premiere.
Knowledge of motion graphics and video editing software is a plus.
Skills/Abilities
Exhibit excellent design, art direction visualization skills
Understanding of user experience design
Knowledge of interface design, typography, layout, and web formats
Knowledge of the latest advancements in design, with a particular interest in artificial intelligence, is a plus
Good communication and presentation skills.
Strong understanding of marketing and advertising principles.
Energetic, collaborative spirit with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
