Senior Copywriter Specialist (12 months contract)

We are ready to take this game to the next level and need someone passionate to support the development of copy for websites and applications – including game pages, tutorial videos, owned digital advertising, promotions, and emails to support all key digital asset needs for OLG Digital Platforms in a manner that is relevant and appropriate for the target audience​.

YOUR ROLE IN THE GAME

Reporting to the Sr Manager Digital Creative Content Production, you will be empowered to:

Content Creation & Copywriting 

  • Develop  copy  for  UI/UX  userflows  on  web  and  apps  for  complex  user  journeys,  in  a  manner  that  reflects  the requirements of the stakeholders while always putting the customer first. 
  • Write  clear,  engaging,  SEO focused and  on-brand  copy  for  all  owned  digital  channels  including  promotions,  email  campaigns, social media, blogs, tutorials, internal channels and video scripts. 
  • Collaborate with designers, developers, and marketers to create best practice deliverables 
  • Edit and proofread content for grammar, clarity, and consistency, ensuring all copy is fresh, relevant and on trend with OLG’s ever evolving audience. 
  • Maintain and evolve content style guides and tone of voice documentation to support Digital Creative Content team along with the maintenance of OLG digital copy templates and team documentation to ensure that processes are up to date, relevant and appropriate to execute for our collaborators. 
  • Assist in brainstorming, planning and execution of digital marketing campaigns. 
  • Contribute to content calendars and vetting campaign briefs. 
  • Support SEO initiatives through keyword-rich content and metadata optimization using guidelines and best practices. 
  • Monitor content performance and provide insights to improve engagement and conversion. 
  • Adapt advertising copy into owned digital assets where required 

Collaboration & Strategy 

  • Work  closely  with  cross-functional  teams  including  creative,  marketing,  and  product  to  ensure  content  meets business objectives. 
  • Contribute ideas for new content formats and storytelling approaches. 
  • Develop  and  champion  copy  tone  &  style  in  a  manner  consistent  with  visual  experiences  to  reinforce  the  brand positioning while prioritizing storytelling and connection. 
  • Interact  with  product  and  channel  teams  to  understand  business  objectives  for  audience  and  to  provide  relevant copy to achieve KPI. 
  • Work closely with OLG French Language services to deliver on OLG’s French language requirements. 
  • Collaborate with OLG’s legal team to deliver clear rules and regulations to OLG customers to ensure all customer protection requirements are met. 

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE GAME

Education & Experience:

  • ​University degree in English, Communications, Advertising or related field  
  • ​​Minimum 3 years of copywriting experience (agency, design house, in-house)​

  • ​​Demonstrated digital Creative writing skills 
  • ​Communication and interpersonal skills 
  • ​Demonstrated UI\UX userflow skillset 
  • ​Conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • ​Complex stakeholder relationship management skills 
  • ​AI integration and automation experience a plus 
  • ​Demonstrated content strategy skillset 
  • ​Understanding of creative storytelling principles  
    Understanding of writing styles and principles across various mediums
